CCSAA meeting
Last Sunday, CCSAA batch representatives met to discuss the 2009 Grand Alumni Homecoming. Since it was Pacquiao Day, the meeting was almost ignored. Another meeting was set on Sunday. One thing is sure, Manny Pacquiao does not have a fight on that day.

Yes! I'm a genius
I was able to recover one of my earliest blogs which contained my recollections of my school life. I launched it long before Blogger or blogging became popular in the Philippines or among friends.
I called this "Blackboard Tisa Panaw" (http://blackboard-tisa-panaw.blogspot.com/), inspired by Bob Ong's ABNKKBSNPLAKO?! It had 9 entries including Ako Baga Ikos, which is a Bikol children's song, and an untitled poem about my favorite white Rusty Lopez polo:
Lampaso
Tukawan
Poro-program
Escort
Achievement Test 1
Achievement Test 2
Sundang
If you notice, all entries were published on February 21, 2005 except for the final entry. I just moved them from my PC to blog.

fondest memories: mrs. gerona
* she was the greatest storyteller of my elementary days especially, the pablo and pedro legends. once, so that i will not be able to miss the ending of a pablo and pedro legend, i hurriedly peed outside and came back still dripping with piss.
fondest memories: mrs. labay
* in grade i camia, i made one of my favorite school projects--a replica of a clock. it was shaped like an elongated triangle, and the face of the clock is on one side of it.
* i liked her cursive "vgood" written on my classroom exercises.
* she allowed me not be vaccinated, because i feared needles and i cried so hard in that time, which explains the reason i do not have any scar or kelloid on my upper arm. it is seldom to see someone in our batch, without any marks of vaccination on their upper arms.
* she only spanked me once with a stick for not bringing floor wax or palomaria as a sweeper for mondays.

mrs. labay the (real) last academic hero?!
oh my god! i was dead wrong for thinking that mrs. canaveral was the last teacher. if i understand it right, mrs. labay occupying the last is a big coincidence for me. she happened to be my first teacher in elementary being my adviser in grade I camia and the last to retire.

Alma mater topped achievement test
CCS topped public schools in CamSur and was third in the region! We were in the bottom of the list then despite the intensive reviews and falsification of results. They did their best this year. Congratulations to our mentors!

last academic hero
our teachers who were once in front of us while we warmed our butts in our arm chairs had all retired. i am not sure who is the last teacher remaining who witness us all experienced elementary years (1989 - 1995). safe guess? si miss canaveral, the math teacher not the science teacher? by the way my mother, who were my teacher in grade iv, retired two years ago in 2007.
